Our premium loose leaf teas are sourced exclusively from reputable local purveyors.

We purify our water with a Crown Berkey, use organic cane sugar and a commercially sourced authentic

non-GMO kombucha culture. As demand quickly increased for our product, we have now transitioned from fermenting in 1500ml food grade glass vessels to 225L Neutral White American Oak Barrels.

Formosa Orange Pekoe

 Orange Pekoe is a term used to

describe a tea leaf size or a grading measurement, typically of a blend of caffeinated black teas commonly enjoyed as "Breakfast" blends. In this case Formosa Orange Pekoe refers to black tea grown in Taiwan.

Taiwan was once called Formosa meaning Paradise. Our Formosa Orange Pekoe Kombucha is available in Original or with one of seven available flavour pairings. (Ginger, Red Mango, Schizandra, Lemon, Lemon & Cayenne, Dragon Eye, Zante Currant).

Formosa Sencha

This lovely variety of Taiwanese green tea produces a mildly aromatic pale yellow infusion with delicate yet lively sweet aromas. Sencha is known to contain high levels of powerful heart-healthy polyphenols as well as antioxidants. This tea variety is also caffeinated but is steeped for much less time and at a lower temperature than black tea.

Our Formosa Sencha Kombucha is available in Original, with Ginger or with Lime.

Formosa Jasmine

This Taiwanese Grade A Jasmine green tea variety is delicately infused with jasmine flowers during curing. It produces an exceptional kombucha that is beyond enhancement with any fruit flavour pairing. Unique and truly refreshing, this stand alone kombucha has been described by one of our customers as "absolutely divine"!

Pi-Lo Chun

Also called green snail tea, this full bodied Taiwanese green tea variety is grown among peach, apricot & plum trees. This single bud & tiny single spiral leaf tea has a sweet aftertaste. It produces amazing original kombucha and it also pairs beautifully with pineapple.

Lung Ching

The Superior Grade Lung-Ching (Dragon’s Well) is a China green tea variety that is harvested in early Spring.The infused tea reveals one perfect tea bud and a leaf with gentle flavour that is smooth and slightly sweet. Lung Ching makes an amazing stand alone kombucha and it also pairs incredibly well with kumquat.

Mao Jian

Mao Jian (Hairy Tip) is a hand

picked green tea from China's Hunan Province. After harvesting in the Spring it is tightly rolled and pan-fried. This semi-sweet high grade tea produces a light, fresh, slightly grassy aroma. Enjoy our wonderfully refreshing original Mao Jian kombucha or try it with either pineapple or kumquat.

We prepare our ginger flavour exclusively from fresh whole organic ginger, purified water and raw organic cane sugar. A popular flavouring in Asian cuisine, ginger is also highly regarded for its warming and immune boosting properties.

We have found that ginger pairs beautifully with Orange Pekoe or Sencha.

Red Mango

Our red mango flavour simply consists of organic red mango purée. Rich in prebiotic dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals, and polyphenolic flavonoid antioxidant compounds, new research reveals mango fruit protects against colon, breast and prostate cancers as well as leukemia. We have found that red mango pairs beautifully with Orange Pekoe.

We make our schizandra flavour from whole dried organic Schizandra chinensis berries, purified water and organic cane sugar. It pairs amazingly with Orange Pekoe!

A powerful adaptogen and tonic for all body systems, this berry is especially revered in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Note: Although Schizandra chinensis, used in the context of TCM and under the care of a qualified practitioner, is generally not indicated during pregnancy and for persons with peptic ulcers, epilepsy and high blood pressure; the quantity used in a flavouring context by ourselves and other kombucha producers is significantly less than what would be considered a therapeutic dosage.

Pineapple is another fruit that is nutrient dense and has a huge list of health benefits. It's a wonderful source of manganese for example, which is an essential co-factor in a number of enzymes involved in antioxidant defenses. The key oxidative enzyme superoxide dismutase, which disarms free radicals produced within mitochondria, requires manganese. Pineapple is also a great source of the vitamin Thiamine (B1) which acts as a co-factor in enzymatic reactions central to energy production. We prepare our lemon flavour with whole organic lemons which contain vitamin C, citric acid, flavonoids, B-complex vitamins, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and fiber. Lemons also contain 22 anti-cancer compounds, including limonene and flavonol glycosides. Although acidic in nature, lemons are renowned for their alkalizing effect on the body, being the only food that is anionic rather than cationic.
